Cages and Chains

Living for a life of being free
might have been
the biggest lie
ever spoken to me

For are you truly free
when you don't decide where to go?
Can you listen to your voice
and let intuition guide your flow? 

Or are you strapped? 
with chains of the past
keeping you down
and holding you back

These chains were born
but the cages were made
the chains we have torn
but these cages remain

So the next time someone asks:
"Isn't it good to believe?"
Look at them and ask,
"Do you know what it's like to be free?"
